Berllan was originally a small stone cottage built in the 1800s but it was extended and modernised in 2008. It is a much-loved family home that is tucked away in a valley, just up the road from the wonderful Melin Tregwynt woollen mill.
The peace and quiet here will allow anyone to relax and unwind.
Fields, streams and woodland surround this house, yet it is only a short walk to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The nearest beach is Aber Mawr, with pebbles at high tide but sand exposed during low tide. This is a well-known surfers’ beach and is totally unspoilt. The neighbouring pebbly beach of Aber Bach is just over the headland and seals can often be spotted swimming in the bay.
There is no light pollution here, so the night skies can be stunning, with shooting stars and the International Space Station regularly visible. The only light to be seen is the one from the lighthouse at Strumble Head.
Fishguard is four miles to the north, with the city of St Davids ten miles to the south. The nearby fishing village of Porthgain, with its art galleries, restaurant (Shed) and pub (Sloop) is only a 10-minute drive away. The Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy, where Red Bull diving competitions are held, is also nearby.
